Toronto is a hockey town. The "T.O." is often referred to, both endearingly and disparagingly, as the "Centre of the Hockey Universe". Toronto is home to both the 13-time NHL champion Maple Leafs as well as the venerated Hockey Hall of Fame. Hockey's hallowed hall covers 57,000 square feet and features games, memorabilia, and the Stanley Cup.The Maple Leafs play at the Air Canada Centre, affectionately known as the "The Hangar." They share the building with the Raptors of the NBA and the Rock of the National Lacrosse League.

The Megacity's other major professional team is the Blue Jays. As members of the American League and two-time World Series champion, the Jays play at the Rogers Centre, formerly known as Skydome. Also playing at the Rogers Centre are the Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. The Argonauts are one of North America's oldest teams having been established in 1873. They won 15 championships, more than any other team in the CFL. Starting in 2008, the Buffalo Bills of National Football League will play one regular-season game a year at the Rogers Centre as well as selected preseason games. Toronto FC is another one of the city's major professional sports team. They are part of Major League Soccer and play at the soccer-specific stadium BMO Field.

It's clear that Torontonians love their sports. They will full-heartedly support any championship caliber team, but nothing stirs their passion as much as hockey.

And don't miss when the Yankees or the Red Sox come to the Rogers Centre and play the Blue Jays. You can get Red Sox tickets, Yankees tickets and of course Blue Jays tickets easily online.
